The Methuscia Dagger was inspired by the Greek myth of Medusa, the Gorgon with hair of snakes who was cursed by the Goddess Athena. The artist always imagined Medusa as having very horrific features in order to turn someone to stone, which is reflected in the handle of this exceptional knife.
