Combat Hapkido means literally "The way of coordination and internal power." A martial art of Korean origin, it is gaining in popularity more and more today, due to its use of grappling techniques and both hard and soft style deflective techniques. Dynamic striking and kicking techniques are also a mainstay that make this martial arts style visually appealing also. Combat hapkido is very similar to Tae Kwon Do. It is a combination of two Korean Martial Arts...Yool Sool which comes from the Japanese art known as Daito-Ryu Aiki-Jutsu is one school that it gets its background from and Tae Kyon, an ancient Korean Kicking Skill that was widespread in the ancient orient is the other.
