About Bill Superfoot Wallace

A native of Portland Oregon, Bill Wallace began studying Karate in 1967 after a judo injury temporarily put him out of commission. By 1980 he retired as the undefeated Professional Karate Association (PKA) Middleweight Champion ! How did he get such an unforgettable nickname as "Superfoot"? From his awesome left leg...clocked doing 60 miles per hour...yes...60 miles per hour! A dominant figure in the martial arts world, Wallace has recieved numerous titles including Black Belt magazine, the top martial arts publication of the trade, naming him to its Hall of Fame three times in seven years -- twice as "Competitor of the Year" and once as "Man of the Year.". He went on to retire in 1980 as one of the most respected martial artists of our times!
