The weapons and swords with in these pages are largely made in the old part of Toledo Spain, where the tradition of quality sword making has endured during the centuries. Between the 15th and 17th century, sword making and arm or construction reached a peak when the Sword cutlers Guild was first established. Swords men and sword smiths from Europe and the East came to Toledo to learn the ancient "secret" of quality sword-making.
