If you use one of these sucker punches to get a highly practiced combo
off, the fight SHOULD be over.
If you are not an experienced fighter or have not practiced the delivery
of these strikes, you most likely hurt yourself. hehe (experienced means
years, not days)
General rules: Low strikes to the shins and legs are more effective and
faster than head strikes (heads are pretty hard). The nose, eyes,
throat, upper stomach, shins and lower ribs are good targets that stop most
fights quickly. Keep all of your own body parts bent, don't straighten
anything, anytime. A fast, direct attack sets up the more powerful
slower attacks.. and last rule: if you have to fight,
strike first, and don't stop until you can either get away, or someone pulls
you off.
SUCKER PUNCHES
- As soon as you sense trouble, unload everything you've got. (Surprise)
- Put your hands up like "Hey, I don't want any trouble" knuckle
fist to the throat.
- Push your hat up, Fix your glasses, cough, etc, nail them in the nose
- Turn to walk away and unleash a back kick.
- Step backwards and pop out a front snap kick (practice this one many
times first)
- Slap them in the eyes and follow with blows to the stomach
- If their hands are up, push their hands into their chest and follow up.
- Step on their leading foot and strike to the head.
- Turn completely around and come out with a spinning back fist.
- Fake back fist to the face and rotate your hand down to grab the groin,
rip off and throw away.
- Kick to shins and follow with upper cut to chin
- Box their ears (both), kick to shins, head grab and meet knee
- Curse the imaginary cop that has come to break up the fight... then drop
your guard like you weren't fighting, as soon as your opponent moves even
a little, unload on him.
- Slap their hands down and follow with back fist to nose.
- Reach straight out, grab their hand then kick their ankle and pull the
hand hard.
- Hold your hand like you hurt it, snap out with a back fist to the nose.
- If you must turn your back at close range follow with high elbows, then
a back fist.
I would like to hear other styles, and their suggested "sucker
punches". Please email me your comments mag@martialartsgear.com

PS, The fancier it is, and the less you have practiced it, the less likely
it is to work.
