Sensu and Japanese Fans
Today we have two kinds of fans to use for practical purpose. The name of the both is Sensu. It means the child of the fan. They are very small. They are used as the fan during summer season. The difference of two types is only the size. The bigger is for men. The smaller is for women. The Sensu is living even today. The traditional fan has 30 bones so it's very difficult to paint. This fan is folded paper, and prints are very nice. These make great decorations, and also work as fans on a hot day. The folding fan of paper and bamboo was first introduced to the nobles of the Imperial Court in the early Seventh Century A.D., who often exchanged them inscribed with poems to fan a smoldering love. The fan remains both an object of art and an indispensable accompaniment on sweltering days. These Japanese folding fans are perfect for gifts between friends, or lovers ( add a poem or note to the back ). They are all beautiful. We may replace the one you choose with a similar style depending on availability. There are at least 20 different, but related designs.
