Horse 25cm - Terra Cotta (Just Over 10 Inches)There are four main categories of figures: chariot warriors, infantrymen, cavalrymen, and horses. There are generals, middle ranking officers, lower ranking officers, ordinary soldiers, and armored warriors. The latter can be further divided according to their headgear into warriors with a square scarf, a cylindrical bun, or a flat bun. There are kneeling warriors as well. Terra Cotta Warriors were found in Xi'an, the ancient capital of the first Chinese emperor. They were brightly colored when unearthed but moments later turned to the dark grey color as they appear today. The terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. This Horse is a perfect portrayal of an ancient chinese war steed and gives off the solemn feeling of this time. These decorative statues are for indoor use only.
