The Chinese portrayed the dragon as fierce, domineering, fire-breathing and havoc-wreaking creatures. The real truth lies in the believer. The question of Chinese or oriental dragons can never be fully answered to my self satisfaction. Yet, this mythical creature plays an important role in the lives of many in the Far East, Asia and the Pacific region. After 5000 years of civilization, through all the cultural and traditional transition to the very present generation of modern dragon descendants, the dragon still comes alive in fertile minds.

The dragon is also symbolic of vitality, energy, luck, and hope.
