Feng Shui Tarot Deck Card Deck
By Peter Paul Connolly and Eileen Connolly. The Feng Shui Tarot Deck Deck combines the traditional elements of tarot with the ancient Chinese wisdom, spiritual belief, and principles of Form School Feng Shui (balancing environment, surroundings, materials and colors). Feng Shui is based on the philosophy that the flow of energy (or "chi") can be directed in certain ways by optimal placement of items large and small to balance yin and yang, thus creating a more favorable environment for the people in the space. This remarkable new deck is designed to give a tarot reading with the meanings of the cards delineated by beautiful visual images of Feng Shui.
The traditional view of the Tarot is that it is based on kabbalistic principles, and that the Tree of Life somehow 'explains' the theory of tarot. All western magic is based upon kabbalistic principles in some form or another. Where does kabbalism come from? It appeared in Southern France and Spain in the 12th century, where there was a significant Jewish population, but scholarly research has shown that the main kabbalistic texts, the Bahir, the Sepher Yetsirah and the Zohar are not what they seem. These texts are actually propaganda tools to convert Jews to Christianity, as they suggest the coming of Jesus Christ. Basing an entire magical system on propaganda tools is hardly a good foundation. With this in mind, I have been turning towards Sufi techniques. Did you know that some of the early Kabbalistic Masters either knew Sufism or were Sufis? Islam and Sufism was strong in Southern France and Spain at the same time as the appearance of the Kabbalistic texts. As we know, Jewish and Arabic culture was ethnically cleansed from Southern France and Spain. Culturally and politically, Europe is still barely tolerant of Judaism and Islam.
