Martial Arts
Martial Arts originated in the Far East. There are numerous schools of martial arts. It currently has over 100 million students that practice this form of self defense. The one similarity among all of the martial arts is that they all use the body to perform movements and that they are all performed without weapons. Of course weapons may be added, such as nunchuckus or ninja throwing stars. In addition to the actual practice of Martial Arts, Martial Arts can be used in many additional ways, including meditations like tai chi, self defense such as Tae Kwon Do, and for physical fitness...for instance in the form of Jeet Kune Do.
Kung Fu
Kung Fu is one of the most popular forms of martial arts. Most westerners became familiar with Kung Fu after Kung Fu the television show debued. But the east has been familiar with Kung Fu for centuries. Kung fu is a slower and more quiet form martial arts than some of the louder, more physical styles such as tae kwon do.
